New Launched Gaming Console Sony PS5 is reportedly having a Download Queue bug in which games and apps are caught in "Queue for Download" or display an error state.
However, Sony has not commented on this bug or how to resolve this issue. The only current fix is to factory reset the console.
Many users have reported this bug plus some of IGN staff. The bug seemingly shows up the game/app as Queued for Download or just pops up a download error but if you check the download menu it shows nothing.
The most annoying thing about is this bug is that not only it won't download the product but also you can't cancel or redownload the product. "PS5 library will show that you own the game/app, but checking the PS5 Store will say that you don't, asking you to purchase it", IGN reported
The most number of reports have come from the bug hitting the PS5 version of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War but you can still download PS4 version without any problem. The list of known apps/games that are getting affected by this bug are Demon's Souls, Spider-Man: Remastered, Sackboy: A Big Adventure, Disney+ app and Godfall. But the bug is only popping up when someone tries to download the PS5 version of games and apps.
Activision, the publisher of Call of Duty, is recommending a factory reset those who get in touch with them about the issue. Many users have also reported that a factory reset resolved the issue, plus there has no other workaround been found yet.Source
