Apple is reportedly working on iPads with larger screens, according to Mark Gurman in his newsletter Power On.
The current iPad variant maxes out at a 12.9inch display diagonally and according to the report, the new iPad with a bigger screen is at least a couple of years away. The product is still under the exploration stage. Apple is also currently working on a redesigned iPad chassis with a glass back expected to be announced in 2022, according to 9to5Mac
The new iPads are expected to come in the 14 to 16-inch display range. Apple's iPads are already a very big device to hold and if bigger iPads ever get announced at all it will be hard to distinguish Apple's tablets from its laptops.
"I’m told that Apple has engineers and designers exploring larger iPads that could hit stores a couple of years down the road at the earliest. They’re unlikely for next year—with Apple’s attention on a redesigned iPad Pro in the current sizes for 2022—and it’s possible they never come at all." Gurman said in the newsletter.
