Xiaomi is expected to announce the latest version of its Android-based skin MIUI 13 by the end of this year. Whereas users are still waiting for the company to clear out the bugs of the MIUI 12, which got its stable version launched last year.
The latest leak reveals the UI of the File Manager app on MIUI 13, which looks not much different than MIUI's File Manager now. For starters, Screenshots reveal the new icons for categories (Docs, Images..) and folders. A new category 'More' is also added which will reveal some more categories to choose from. Plus 'Recent' and 'Storage' options will be shown as a heading rather than icons.
The Hamburger menu also seems to be moved to the bottom right corner from the general top left corner of the screen. The new feature named "Don't show Gallery items and screenshots among recent files" is also added.
The latest MIUI version is expected to be announced with the launch of Xiaomi's latest flagship device Mi Mix 4. And most probably will be announced for china first, then for the global market. We are hoping to see a faster, cleaner UI with much fewer bugs and the option to get rid of a lot of the annoying bloatware.
