Snapchat is working on a new feature called 'Remix' which will directly compete with Instagram's Remix Reels and Tiktok Duets. This feature allows you to remix friends' stories plus different layouts to create your snap. Leaker Alessandro Paluzzi (@alex193a) first discovered this feature and shared the details in a Tweet.

We've all seen tech giants like Google and Facebook coming with competition for Tiktok with Youtube Shorts and Instagram Reels respectively and now it seems like Snapchat doesn't want to be left behind plus it's not like it's altogether a new platform it's more like borrowing a feature. This feature will allow you to record a Snap, and tagged friends will be able to create a duet video with your video. The leaker says Snapchat is also working on an auto-captions feature to improve accessibility.
Besides this leak A Snapchat spokesperson confirmed this feature to TechCrunch that developers are, indeed working on the feature: "I can confirm that externally we are testing the ability to reply to a friend’s story with a remixed Snap. It lets you build on your friend’s Snap while recording your own alongside the original as it plays for contextual conversations on Snapchat."
