Microsoft has completely revamped the icons in File Explorer after changing the icons of every other pre-installed apps last year. This update also comes with a note: "After upgrading to this build, any custom folders pinned to Quick Access will disappear. You can either make note of them prior to updating to this build or pause updates until we get a fix in."

New icons also emphasize what the folder do, rather than showing it beside a big yellow folder icon which made all icons look a little similar. "Several changes, such as the orientation of the folder icons and the default file type icons, have been made for greater consistency across Microsoft products that show files. Notably, the top-level user folders such as Desktop, Documents, Downloads, and Pictures have a new design that should make it a little easier to tell them apart at a glance."
